City of Brentwood: Maryland Farms

Project Detail

Our standard quality construction

I was contacted by Will Ogilvie President of the Brentwood business owners association of Maryland Farms. I had previously worked at a company that I developed a monument sign theme for the Gateway points for old Hickory Boulevard. As you enter Maryland Farms, I believe this was somewhere around 2015 or 16.

Client : Tyler Inc.

Location : California City FL 23059

Area : 1.690 m2

Finished On : September 17, 2014

Remarks : The project was completed under the budget, with the savings returned to the owner.

description

Will had heard that I was no longer with that company and called to see if I still did this work, obviously you know the answer. This was another turnkey production.
That means I make the drawings, I submit the signed permit application and organize/produce and install the rest of the project-all materials -all laborers and site cleanup.

the challenges

This one was a little bit tricky as we had to remove an existing center median sign and a fence in order to construct the new monument -gateway entry sign at The intersection of Granny White Pike & Maryland way. It was tricky not so much because of the work but because this is the entry point to the heart of Brentwood where the fire, police department and City Hall are located. The Brentwood city commissioners were plenty concerned At the planning commission meeting and had lots of questions as they should, with engineer drawings of utilities, site plans and foundation details -they gave us approval for production.

project goals

I am very proud of my custom signage especially when I get to use water jetted aluminum letters that have been powder coated and real natural Tennessee gray limestone -it’s something that I can be proud of and I know will stand the test of time.
